Large complex new WWTP facility with future capability of 16MGD. Total construction contract value was $29,486,633.38. RTD was the Prime/General Contractor. RTD contract work consists total construction of new cast-in-place reinforced concrete Influent Pump Station, Influent Head works, Bio Treatment Tanks, (2) 100Ft diameter Clarifier Tanks, Flow Splitter Boxes, Tertiary Sand Filter Building, Ultra Violet Disinfection Facility, Aerobic Digestion Tanks, Effluent Pump Station and Cascade Aeration Outfall Structure. Total reinforced concrete = 16,000 CY and over 250,000 SFT of formwork. Project also includes a new 3,100SFT Chemical Building, 4,900 SFT Operations/Administration Building, 3,700 SFT Plant Maintenance Building and 5,200 SFT Sludge Dewatering Building, 50,000CY of structure excavation, 40,000CY of structural excavation and site fills, site work, process piping, process equipment installation, 20,000LF of 16” thru 42” large diameter yard piping.
Project included several large pump stations. 1) New cast-in-place concrete Main Raw Sewage Pump Station including (3) new 100HP Main Raw Sewage Submersible Pumps (3.2MGD per pump = 9,698,400MGD Total capacity) and 16” – 36” discharge piping and valves. Main Pump Station was constructed of cast in place concrete construction (1,350CY) 35’ deep and required blasting and mass rock excavation (350CY). 2) Effluent Pump Station including (2) 200HP vertical turbine pumps and 16” – 30” discharge piping and valves. 3) Plant Water Pump Station including (2) 75HP vertical turbine pumps and 12” – 24” discharge piping and valves. 4) RAS/WAS Pump Station including (3) 75HP Return Activated Sludge Pumps and 12” – 24” discharge piping and valves. 5) New Plant Drainage Pump Station including (3) new 75HP Plant Drain Submersible Pumps and 10” – 16” discharge piping and valves.
RTD self-performed 70% of all the work including all formwork, concrete work, dewatering systems, excavation & backfills, site work, yard piping, process equipment installation, pumps installation and all process piping.
